The state has more power than ever before, and seeks yet more of it on a daily basis, continually spreading its influence around the globe, to the point where the entire world has become a panopticon of surveillance, war, brutality, sickness, and more, and the primary way they get away with it is by controlling global markets, and by mandating our participation in markets as the mode of interaction in society. Samuel Edward Konkin III not only saw this coming, but he saw allegedly rebellious movements caving into corporate pressure, and pressure from the state, and becoming neutered in the process. His vision of a free market was a radical one, and constantly pushed the limits, but one of the most prevailing aspects of it, if not the most, was his creation of a philosophy called agorism. This philosophy is all about using black and grey markets to smash the state, and the idea is that, even though the state is immeasurably large, we can do our part in a small way to not only reduce our participation in it, but our fueling of it.
