When you’re dealing with an ultra-logical crowd like capitalists and agorists, things like spirituality and manifestation are left on the back burner, thought unnecessary with real hard work. For many years, I was of this mindset.
As a kid, I had some pagan and Wiccan influence from family and family friends. I thought it was cool and, as a kid, I collected rocks and even wanted to be a pagan, but as an adult I abandoned that completely for logic. The way I saw it, there was no proof of magic and thus no point of the rituals, using crystals, or reading tarot cards. Coming from someone who has lived a life of mostly trauma, you could see where I got a bit disenchanted with the whole thing.
Many years, many psychedelic drug experiences, and a few near death experiences later, my opinion has changed. Turns out, there is value to concepts like manifestation. If you change your mindset from one of fighting the system to one of manifestation, real beautiful things will start to happen for you.
I know because I have experienced it.
What do I mean by manifestation? It’s the theory that with mediation and constructive thought you can make your dreams and desires reality. It falls right in line with a lot of agorist mindset. If you work your ass off and try to be a good person, you’ll win in the end. Boom, good life manifested.
What the majority of people don’t realize is a lot of these spiritual tools, rituals, “spells” and more is all actually pretty logical when you think about it. For example, tarot cards are long considered a parlor trick. What’s not seen is the value of asking yourself questions and using creative means to look at solutions. Modern day “spells” often just involve putting a bunch of herbs and spices into a jar with a cork, with intention, and sealing it. I’ve tried these and they work; they force you to think about what you want specifically. There’s a lot of evidence to support that taking the time to really visualize the outcome is the first step into manifesting something into reality.
The idea is to embrace pagan/wiccan/druid traditions to enhance goal setting alongside proven time management and productivity strategies. I’m going to share a lot of the tools and things I’ve learned in the last year or so diving into manifestation or spiritual agorism, if you will.
To fully exist as agorists, we need to really acknowledge and care for every part of ourselves. Our emotional, spiritual, and physical health are essential to being the best we can be. Physical health, I notice, somewhat differs from person to person, but you can address a lot of emotional and spiritual health needs just by being open to the possibilities and being willing to play. Because that’s what a lot of it is, play.
I’m going to list some tools and tips I’ve collected with a short explanation of how I use them to manifest the reality I want to see.
What you actually do depends on you. For me, this all technically started with a bufo ceremony that made my very logical autistic self go, “Well, maybe there is something.” Follow that up with seeing some ideas for “spell jars” on Pinterest and I got curious. Then a friend makes what she calls a witch candle for money, adorning a regular candle with change and spices to burn with the intent of manifesting money. I made these and burned them while I worked.
And what I found is seeing the candle burning kept me focused longer. As far as I’m concerned, that’s magic. It worked. That’s all I really wanted out of it. So, I tried a spell jar and found similar results. I like visualizing the end result of what I’m trying to manifest. Some call it daydreaming.
Then, the collection of crystals started. I can’t say they for sure have magical powers, but they sure as hell make me happy and that’s basically the same thing. Daily, I touch a lot of my rocks, admiring the life I’ve managed to build for myself and dreaming of a future with more, bigger rocks. Maybe a rock store in my distant future. For me as an agorist, this is the best way to make things happen. From a point of love and growth.
I bought another deck of tarot cards because it is the best way to ask yourself questions in a creative way as far as I’m concerned. I think a huge part of mental health comes from the ability to ask ourselves and thus the universe the tough questions. Be willing to look at things from all angles!
I mentioned previously my use of psychedelics, but I’m not sure I’d ever have gotten to this point as fast as I did without Bufo. Acid is a pretty logical psychedelic as far as I am concerned and really served to reinforce my logical brain and not my manifestation brain.
And speaking of manifesting brain, I want to bring up Human Design. It’s a really complex modern day spin on astrology that is way too accurate to be true. Something I have a hunch about is many of those who consider themselves agorists are what’s known as manifesting generators. I know that me and most of my closest agorist friends for sure are and so are 70 percent of the population. When we fully learn to embrace this, we fully learn to be ourselves which will make us most powerful. Something we will need when replacing the state, as many agorists intend to do.
Meditation is something I should do more of. I’ve done just enough to recognize the value. If you’re looking for tips with mediation, Kurt David Robinson over at A Beautiful Thought has a lot of different really practical tips. He does a lot of good work to demystify it and get down to what it’s actually about, which is different than you might expect.
Now for the more practical solutions. I basically have a three part system for keeping myself on the manifestation track.
The first is creative output; doesn’t really matter what, but I need to keep creating something creative on a regular basis or my cognitive ability suffers. Why? We lived in a screwed up world and are constantly amassing traumas. One of the healthiest way to deal with traumas is through art therapy. If you’re like me, you’ll likely turn these artistic expressions of trauma into a business, but the goal is to get that creative emotional outlet somewhere healthy.
Next is the Panda Planner, very new to my life, but I am utterly obsessed. Panda Planner is built for manifestation and goal settings. It takes all this spiritual stuff I do to the logical, scientific side of my brain and makes it complete. I love this planner because it’s an amazing blend of goal setting and affirmations with functional to-do lists, habit trackers, schedule, and more. The creator uses scientifically proven techniques of manifestation to make this planner…and it works. One example is writing down what you want, then the reason why. Studies show, you follow through more when you remember why you’re doing something.
Finally is the Getting Things Done method by David Allen. I think I’ve mentioned this before in other posts in the past. I’m finding that this system, when combined with the Panda Planner, is foolproof at crushing executive dysfunction, which is, in short, when you know you need to do the thing and know you can, but you just can’t because of lack of proper motivation.
I wanted to end this with a bit of things to avoid. Just as there are a lot of things you can do to help your powers of manifestation, there’s a lot you can do to hinder them too. There’s a lot to be said about the saying, “You get out what energy you put into the world.” If you’re hyper critical and always fighting with people online about things, you’re likely not going to be in a strong mindset for manifestation. That’s just not how it works. If you want a war, go fight with people online.
But if you want to manifest a new world, well, that, my friend, is what you need to focus on.
Also, avoid dogma. There is no right or wrong way to do spirituality. People can get to a manifestation state without substances, crystals, and tarot cards. Some people like to become really dogmatic and tell people they’re doing spirituality wrong. Chances are, if they’re doing it with their heart, they’re doing it right for them.
And with that, embrace the chaos. Consider trying some full moon rituals. You might find that they cause you to think about your life and what you want in a different way.

May 30, 2021Lily, I have an idea for a conference. I believe it would be compatible with your beliefs.
I wonder if you would be interested in helping to organize and promote such a conference as a consultant.
Perhaps some of your associates from Anarchapulco 2021 that know how to do this would be willing to assist as well.
Drop me a line if it makes sense.
