[Demystifying The Skyclock] Vedic Astrology, Life, & Liberation

[The following is an article write-up/introduction to the most recent episode of The Vonu Podcast. Listen/watch here: VonuPodcast.com/121.]

Many disregard astrology outright, mainly due to its presentation by the servile society. I know I did myself, up until last year. From nonsense horoscopes in the morning paper, to unreliable results based off an inaccurate methodology, it really is no wonder.

Couple that with a general disconnection from anything spiritual and the infrequency of any attention provided to the heavens (i.e., the Skyclock) and you have a population wholly controlled by artificial time – that is, the dreaded 9-5 through the week, and on the weekend, the tendency to get plastered at the bar (or, possibly worse, alone in quarantine during a fake pandemic) in an attempt to forget about how miserable a slave-based existence is.

This push by the servile society to make the Skyclock irrelevant is of course by design. “Astrology” isn’t a monolithic field, and not all schools-of-thought are created equal; the roadblocks to deter individuals from the value that can be added to one’s life by an understanding of the Skyclock are indeed numerous.

And despite the general milquetoast presentation, no, I’m not personally interested in studying Nature (i.e. the heavens) to see when I’m going to “become materially wealthy” or anything of the sort. But again, to me, this presentation is to demean astrology, which is based off astronomy, the branch of science which deals with celestial objects, space, and the physical universe as a whole.

Rather, what’s far more fascinating and worthwhile is the exploring of the soul’s journey…and further, scientifically, what influence the Skyclock has on areas of study like medical astrology, spagyrics (the alchemy of the plant kingdom), & Eastern traditions like Ayurveda/Traditional Chinese Medicine, etc.

Believe it or not, in previous ages (although possibly still in some Eastern clinics), you weren’t a real doctor if you didn’t also know and understand astrology.

Not only that, but instead of whoring for Babylon Pharmaceuticals, these “real doctors” formulated their own medicines, from Nature, and using the whole alchemical process (i.e. the breaking apart of the plant, the purification of the elements, and the reunification).

Contrast this with the Western, modern process of producing drugs, which means altering a natural component with any litany of poisons so they can patent it and get rich, therefore bastardizing Nature in one of the worst possible ways.

In a word, the purpose of alchemy/spagyrics is to exalt Nature, whereas the West (and modern society in general) seeks to control it.

At least a couple other items are worth briefly discussing regarding the influence of the Skyclock and health. Referring back to Eastern traditions, the planets, as well as the sun and the moon, each have an organ and endocrine correspondence. This is additional information the Eastern practitioner would take into account when they are treating a patient.

Secondly, is a topic near and dear to my heart: tissue/cell salts and deficiencies indicated by your birth month. While this was new to me and might be to you, it wasn’t to societies not totally disconnected from Nature.

You see, the food we eat isn’t merely broken down, digested, and assimilated; rather, the food we eat is combined with the air we breathe (known as prahna, qi, life force energy, etc.), and the end result is 12 inorganic cell salts that make up all life as we know it. (Worth noting: when taking this into account, the Maskquerade being performed in the slave society is far more nefarious.)

Dr. George Carey, a Christian mystic and homeopathic practitioner in the 19th century, attributes all so-called dis-ease to a deficiency in one or more cell salts, and had extensive experience bearing it out. Not to mention, even to this day, there are health clinics in Germany that primarily focus on this methodology. What’s unique here is that you’re rebuilding your health at the tissue, cellular level with microdoses of these cell salts. Reason being, imbalances developed over the course of many, many years cannot expect to be rectified with a few magical doses. The microdoses are placed under the tongue so they are immediately taken up by the body, bypassing the less-efficient digestive process.

So, what does the Skyclock have to do with this? Well, depending on when you were born, you are predisposed to becoming deficient in at least two cell salts in particular. My birth month being May, my two are natrum sulphate (#11), and its complements on the opposite side of the chart, calcium sulphate (#3) and natrum phosphate (#10); since I was born at the middle of the month, I didn’t accumulate all the energies at that particular angulation.

That said, in today’s toxic and chronically dis-eased society, it might be necessary for some to take them all for a period of time…though I would recommend Dr. Carey’s book, The Biochemic System of Medicine, to more accurately and directly treat whatever symptoms you may be experiencing.

Check out the chart below to see how these cell salts look on a zodiacal chart and determine what your potential deficiencies are.

As I indicated in the introduction, one of the major problems with astrology today is the utilization of an incorrect methodology. The West largely uses the tropical variety, which is based off the seasons; and Eastern traditions, most pertinently in this discussion, Vedic, practice sidereal, which is based off the visible sky, i.e. what we ACTUALLY see with our eyes, what is ACTUALLY happening in the heavens. And since astrology is based off astronomy, and Jyotish/Vedic being a rigorous science, what is actually observable is of critical importance.

To demonstrate, using tropical astrology (in many cases) is akin to giving someone a weather forecast, but it being for a different state. Except by happenstance, luck, or some other fortuitous circumstance, the forecast is going to be wrong.

Anyway, since I’m merely an amateur in this area, I decided to invite Bryan Easterday of Eye of the Storm Astrology on to the most recent episode of The Vonu Podcast to help me (and hopefully you!) gain a better understanding of Jyotish/Vedic Astrology, and the role it can play in your life and liberation!

Other items we covered include:

  • Bryan provides us with his background, philosophies, and how he got into Vedic Astrology
  • His focus on the soul’s journey, not short-term horoscopes
  • His discovery that the science of Vedic astrology being an incredible tool in understanding and studying natural law; examining the macrocosm to understand the microcosm
  • We’re not only here to correct our errors/mistakes/effects from earlier in this incarnation, but throughout our development of consciousness
  • The value Vedic astrology has brought to his life specifically: essentially, a greater awareness, appreciation, and understanding of himself and of others
  • Some basics of astrology, Vedic astrology terminology, elements of a chart, etc.
  • Vedic astrology is only one branch of Jyotish. Even if you aren’t interested in astrology, there’s a lot more on offer.
  • My coming across tropical versus sidereal astrology debate — is tropical a scam? Useful? Bryan breaks down these schools-of-thought
  • Why some tropical astrologers can have good results
  • The Skyclock isn’t just an “out there” thing; in Ayurveda/Traditional Chinese Medicine, there are correspondences with organ systems, plants/herbs to be used as medicine, etc. We’re talking about timing.
    • In Vedic Astrology, these body correspondences are called the Nakshatras
  • Some information on Bryan’s services & his application of Vedic Astrology; in couples readings, the focus on masculine/feminine
  • A lot of tropical astrologers do daily/weekly horoscopes; can Vedic be used for that too, or is it just for the bigger “soul” purpose?
  • Bryan pulls up a chart for 11/10/2021 and gives us an idea of what he sees when he looks at a chart & items to takeaway
  • He fills us in on his own homesteading efforts and plans on his 10-acre farm in rural Kansas

In summation, I’ll leave you with a short quote excerpted from a book I’m working my way through titled Essentials of Medical Astrology, which is part of a Vedic Astrology series. This will provide you with a bit more perspective on the Vedic viewpoint of dis-ease etiology and will even point you in the direction of a terrific original source to track down if this area is of interest to you.

For the one balanced in food and recreation, who is restrained in his actions, whose sleep and waking are regulated, there ensues a discipline which destroys all ailment.

Nature provides us with everything we need to not only survive, but thrive, whereas iatrogenic pharmaceuticals only serve to create further imbalances that will “need” to be treated by even more poisonous drugs – more money for them, more suffering for you.

Students of astrology will know that Rx = retrograde. The purpose of these pharma concoctions is plain-to-see, and slapped on the side of every prescription label:

They aren’t here to uplift mankind…they are here to send man backwards.
